Rules for bachelor's grade examination

  1. Bachelor's grade examination is close book written examination.
  2. Preparation for the exam is counted as 10 ECTS points and is confirmed by person coordinating pro-seminary at 5th and 6th semester with proper entry in student's index
  3. First date in which bachelor's grade exam is commenced (around the end of summer semester) is announced by the executives
  4. Problems on bachelor's grade exam are to check elementary mathematical skills related to material covered during 3 years of studies.
  5. Not later than in October questions for that year bachelor's grade exam are published. There will be at least 100 and no more than 300 questions.
  6. Each question in the Catalog is a non-specific question, which will be specific in the exam paper. For example in the Catalog there may appear general problems such as "calculate indefinite integral of a function of a form", "calculate the limit of the form", "calculate the determinant of a 3x3 matrix", "give a definition of..." "verify the continuity of a function", "find equivalence classes of a given relation", etc. During the exam concrete functions, matrices, etc. will be given.
  7. Catalog of questions for each year is prepared by a special committee created by the Executive.
  8. Questions found in catalog might be different for different specializations.
  9. Bachelor's grade examine is carried out by the specially chosen committee. Head of the committee is chosen by faculty's council.
  10. The Committee prepares actual problems for bachelor's grade exam. There should be at least 10 and at most 15 problems during bachelor's grade exam. Scoring for each problems is determined by the Committee although each problem is worth exact number of points if solved correctly.
  11. The Committee informs students about amount of points needed to pass bachelor's grade exam before bachelor's grade exam. This limit may however be lowered later if committee decides to do so.
  12. After evaluating bachelor's grade examine committee decides about actual grades.
  13. There is no possibility to improve grade form bachelor's grade exam. Students if they find their exam to be misevaluated have right to see their paper and may appeal for another evaluation.
  14. Bachelor's grade examines held later follow the same rules.
