The conference "Functions and Operators" (FaO2010) will take place in Krakow (Poland), June 21 - 25, 2010. The conference is organized by Institute of Mathematics of the Jagiellonian University and Faculty of Applied Mathematics of AGH University of Science and Technology.

The main topics of the conference include:

  • functions (reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces, orthogonal polynomials, special functions etc.),
  • operators (bounded and unbounded operators with dilation theory in particular, operator algebras and semigroups etc.),
  • interconnected issues (positive definite functions, moment problems, commutative and noncommutative harmonic analysis, mathematical physics etc.).

The conference is in honour of Professor Franciszek Hugon Szafraniec on the occasion of his seventieth birthday.
