Arriving in Kraków The meetings will be held in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University (ul. Łojasiewicza 6, Kraków), situated on the III Campus UJ - Ruczaj.
The Airport Kraków-Balice is located 11 km on the west of the city center. There are different options for getting from the airport to the city: public buses, airport train, and taxis. Public buses Public buses link the airport with the main railway station in Kraków and the central bus station (bus stops "Dworzec Główny Zachód" and "Dworzec Główny Wschód"), both close to the Old Town, by two regular buses: 208 and 292 and one night bus: 902. Travel time is 40-50 minutes for day-time lines and 30 minutes for the night line. Check the location of the bus stations on the plan HERE. These are agglomeration bus lines, so you need to buy a agglomeration ticket (3,00 PLN - single trip ticket, 5,00 PLN - 90 minutes, multiple trip ticket). Tickets can be purchased from the RELAY press salon in terminal T1 or from the evending machines on 292 line buses. A single ticket bought from the bus driver costs 3,50 PLN. Airport train The "Balice Ekspres" operates between Kraków Główny (Main railway station) and the Kraków-Balice Airport railway station. Travel time is 16 minutes. The train station is located 200 m from the T1 international terminal. For travel between the terminals and the station, you can use the free Shuttle Bus service. The Shuttle Bus awaits at the rail station and transports passengers between the international (T1) and the domestic (T2) terminals and then comes back to the station. You can also reach the railway station on foot following the signs. Train tickets can be purchased on a train (from train attendant or from automated cashier) as well as from automated cashier located near center exit in terminal T1. The one-way ticket price bought from the train attendant is 8,00 PLN (bought in automated cashiers: 7,00 PLN). Taxis Radio Taxi 19191 is an official partner of Kraków Airport and provides a 24 hour individual transportation service. Taxi from the airport to the centre of Krakow costs approx. 50 PLN. Taxi ranks are located in front of the T1 and T2 terminal exits. But you can also get a cab by calling +48 12 19191. Price for the taxi from the airport to the city center is about 50-70 PLN (depending on the period). IMPORTANT UPDATE! In general, if you plan to take a taxi in Kraków, we strongly encourage you to always use official taxi operators with official fares. Official taxi corporations have their logo and phone number on the top of the taxi and the tariff on the passenger window. An official license must be visible inside the taxi. If you have any doubts always ask how much it will cost. The standard price is aroud 7 PLN for the start fee and approx. 3 PLN per km. If you use unofficial taxis then there is no price limit and it happens they charge even 90 PLN per km. You can check the bus scheduled on the web site http://rozklady.mpk.krakow.pl/, run by MPK Kraków. IMPORTANT UPDATE! The ticket price (normal rate) is 2,50 PLN for a single trip (allows one way trip, without interchange) and 3,10 PLN for one hour pass (valid for unlimited travel for one hour on trams and buses, invalid on night buses). There is no luggage rate. If you plan to use public transportation during whole the conference, you may consider buying the 7-day pass for 38 PLN. Tickets can be purchased in kiosks and special MPK ticket centres and, with a surcharge, from the driver. Kraków is one of the largest and oldest cities in Poland and a popular tourist destination.
