This PhD programme is run by the Faculty of Mathematics
and Computer Science, in cooperation with the Institute of Physics
of Jagiellonian University. It is financed from the European
Structural Funds in the framework of the International PhD Projects Programme run by the Foundation for Polish Science. The topics cover a wide range of mathematics in such fields as differential geometry, noncommutative geometry, general relativity, dynamical systems, partial differential equations, several complex variables, financial mathematics. Some focus will be on possible applications outside of mathematics and relations with other disciplines, especially physics
and computer science. Every student will spend at least 6 months abroad
at cooperating institutions.
